UGH... life can be a PITA sometimes!

Hello ladies! I know it's bee a long time and I'm so sorry! This last month has been difficult. It started with going out of state to visit family for 2.5 weeks. Thought I could manage to do the shred while I was there but nope. There was absolutely no time... from the time I woke up till the time I went to bed we had visitors and other family over seeing me and the baby.

I get home on Jan. 22nd around midnight and the next 2 weeks are filled with extreme relationship issues accompanied by deciding on whether or not to leave & move out of state to be closer to family. Needless to say, I've had a few things acting as a distraction. I will be starting another Shred after Valentine's Day, Starting Feb. 21st for those who are interested in joining. I am going to spend the day tomorrow going through alllllll of the email I haven't gotten a chance to check.

Again, I'm so sorry ladies but I hope everyone did well and got their butts kicked during the 30 days!! Can't wait to hear about everyone's results!

D-Day Is Here!

So today was the day! My day has been sooooo hectic that I haven't had a chance to do my day 1 yet, but rest assured, I WILL get it done before I go to bed!

I have updated the blog a little. I removed the "Nutrition" page and I have added the Message Board. Please take a moment to check it out and post away! I think it will be SUCH a valuable tool for us to communicate with each other- much easier than reading through comments to my posts!

I want to thank everyone who has submitted their information for the Roll Call page! I finally got a chance to check my email and WOW- I have 30+ members to add!

I hope everyone had a fantastic first day! I can't wait to see everyone's results!

5-6-7-8 We Are Going To Lose This Weight!

Hello Mamas!!!

Sorry I've been a tad busy lately with the Holidays. We officially have less than a week before we start our shred! If you haven't gotten your copy of the DVD yet, it's available at Walmart ($9), Comcast On Demand (free), or Amazon (about $10). You will also need to pick up a set of free weights (any kind will do- I'm using a set of 2, 3, & 5 lb. dumbbells). I do not recommend the kind that strap onto your wrist because you only use them during certain moves and you will need to be able to put them down and pick them up quickly.

As far as diet, I am going to be getting and following Making the Cut: The 30-Day Diet and Fitness Plan for the Strongest, Sexiest You (thanks to AppleMomma for the rec!). Personally, I have a problem not eating enough which slows down my metabolism so I'm going to try to eat 4-6 times a day. I'm not going to drink anything other than water (BOY I'll miss my coffee!!!).

I've also updated the Roll Call page. If you have not submitted your information, I STRONGLY encourage it! It will give you a boost and will (hopefully) help motivate you. No Pain, No Gain!

So it seems the common denominator for us all is motivation. I know I've had a lack of it since R was born 5 months ago and I need to get it back!

For me, my motivation is vanity. So what? I'm vain, sue me!!! I look back at the cute little 17 year old girl I used to be and think "OMG what happened to me?!"

I want to be able to wear a tank top again. I want to be able to wear shorts or a skirt without my thighs getting chaffed from rubbing together!
I WILL get this back! The 30 Day Shred is just the beginning. I know it's going to be a very hard, painful month, but it's all going to be worth it in the end! By the time I'm done, my partner will be proud to have me on his arm and I will be proud to be called a "MILF" :)

So, what's YOUR motivation? I encourage everyone to find a picture of whatever it is that is going to be your "focus" for this journey. Put that picture someplace you will see it every day. Hey... I'm putting mine on the fridge so maybe I'll reach for the carrots instead of the tiramisu!

1-2-3-4 We Won't Want This Bump No More!

Hello Everyone!
If you've found your way here, you've probably recently had a baby and are wanting to join us on our 30 Day (Baby Bump) Shred! Please take a moment to register. I know how hard it is to stay motivated when you've just had a looooong, sleepless night with a teething baby. I like to find things to keep me motivated to get through the day and now, we can keep each other motivated on our Shred!
